We recently received a heartwarming email from Damon C.
He was a Work for Food participant in 2009.
He is now living in secure housing and loving life.
Better yet, he has a successful career in a thriving agricultural community of the Willamette Valley!
When you support Food on Foot, YOU directly help people like Damon. Your incredible gifts allow our clients to receive the life-skills they desperately need to make lasting and positive changes. And just like Damon, our clients apply these skills well after attending our programs. Thank you!
Patrick G. became homeless at age 60.
Prior to living on the streets, he was an aspiring comedy writer.
He had a great sense of humor and strong writing skills.
But his addiction to alcohol kept him from working professionally and responsibly.
He lost ties with his family and found himself living on the streets of LA.
“My struggle with addiction really hit me hard. I lost my family and my pride. I couldn't live this lifestyle anymore.”

When asked why they give to Food on Foot, Selwyn responded:
“In my faith, the greatest obligation that one has on this planet is to engage in acts of charity. The highest act of charity is to enable people to feed themselves and to become self-suffici...
